Nora meets JPW

February 21, 1918 – Full diary entry:

“Took Nora home for her clothes. Left for St. Paul at noon.

Went to Vaudeville show and Hardware show. Dad met Nora – likes her.”

Robert’s dad has special significance for me because I was named for him. John Patterson (or Paterson) West was born in Scotland in 1862 and emigrated to America in 1888. He had a significant impact on Robert, from their sales careers to being Masons.
