May 25, 1918 – Full diary entry:
“Wrote to Ruth and GRN.
Had p.m. off. Went to Eng. Camp, sold my knife for 1 [Franc] to a Chinaman.”
Not sure who “GRN” was. In his letter to Ruth, which I posted in error earlier this week, he told Ruth he would be writing to Aunt Aggie and Swift – that would be his father’s oldest sister Agnes and his employer, respectively.
