“Got a letter from wifie + a picture of her + the boy. Wonder why I don’t hear from home.
Bolshevikism is the new trouble. I wish I knew more about it.”

The Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, had overthrown the Russian government in October 1917 and the revolution had caused Russia to withdraw from the World War. While on the surface the party was anti-war, it seems that their real aim was to foment uprisings throughout Europe to bring down the ruling class throughout the continent.
