November 3, 1918 – Full diary entry:

“Went to Sassenage to see the caves. They are very beautiful. A stream runs right out of the solid rock. Forming large rooms.”

Sassenage is just northwest of Grenoble. The caves are still a noted attraction and I can understand why.
