October 12, 1918 – Postcard to Robert’s sister Ruth:
Dear Ruth,
As I am living in my tent just now, I can’t write a letter but will write to some of you as soon as I can. It is raining and cold here but we have blankets enough. Am very well.
Love to all
Rob
Robert has written previously about the services provided by the Y.M.C.A. for the soldiers overseas. “Le Foyer du Soldat” (the home of the soldier) was the name given to the French YMCA facilities.
