October 10, 1918 – Full diary entry:
“Took a bath and feel a lot better. On guard last night.
The sun is shining today and things look brighter. Am going to join the Intelligen[ce] Branch.
We expect to be in the line again by the 20th.”
This one is going to take some digging. I don’t believe Robert ever mentions this again in his diary or letters, so it’s possible nothing came of this. He certainly wrote it as though it was a done deal, though. I will try to find out more about it.
Where was Robert today? See the timeline.
