May 14th, 1918 – Full diary entry:
“Rained all night. Walked to Blangy, France. There is a prison camp there. 300 Fritz.
Went to Blangy camp to Y.M. concert.
On Breste River.
Blangy is 60 miles from front.”
I can’t find much about the American or British camps near Blangy-sur-Bresle. The village itself dates back at least to the mid-9th century and was an important stronghold with walls, turrets, gates and moats for defense.
Where was Robert today? See the timeline.
